Thijs works as Managing Director Treasury & Trading at APG Asset Management. The APG Treasury & Trading team acts as an internal counterparty and offsets risks as efficient and effective as possible in the market in order to arrange liquidity and achieve best execution for its internal clients. This also allows for centralized counterparty risk- and collateral management. Other than leading the team, Thijs was also responsible for the implementation of a complete new front-to-back derivatives system for treasury and trading activities. He is currently leveraging his extensive experience in asset management for pension funds to tackle the post-trade reforms changing the landscape beyond recognition. Thijs will be revealing the trail-blazing APG approach to central clearing compliance exclusively at Clearing & Settlement World.
